Problem Solving: Ranking Priorities!

My list! (Hopefully everything will be crossed off in the near future)

Hey everyone! This week has been so chaotic since I went home for the weekend due to Rosh Hashanah! Because I knew I would be going home and not have too much time to do my work, I PROBLEM SOLVED to figure out everything I needed to do and in what order to do it! I used the technique of RANKING PRIORITES! I can explain this process in terms of L.A.M.E. (remember: learner, action, materials, evaluation). Since I’m a visual learner, making lists allows me to write down and see everything I need to accomplish.  Action: after writing every task down, I labeled them and put them in order of importance. I would give the most significant tasks an A, important tasks a B, and C is for tasks that needed to be done, didn’t have a deadline, but are still in order of value. After each task was completed, I would cross it off the list (my favorite part of the list process). The material was the actual list. Evaluation: I really suggest this technique when you’re overwhelmed with work. It feels so great when every task gets accomplished!

Hope you enjoy this technique!

  1. Hey girl,
I like how you used ranking priorities and you connected it with lame and the type of learner that you are. It seems like this week you picked something short but that would also help you. Once again you did this task way different than me,but we all learn different and that is the key to learning. Continue to use what helps you the best and I learned alot.

  2. Hey Hannah :)
Very good use of LAME ! I love getting my work on time. It feels so good to finish everything and then be able to either socialize or take a nap. I think you did a great job explaining Ranking Priorities. Really straight to the point. I also like your list because it looks really neat and organized. It can be easily understood and all you have to do is follow the list and then cross it when the assignment is done. I'm going to try what you did.

Great job! Hope you had fun going back home! See you tomorrow!

  3. Hey Hannah,
I really liked how short and to the point your blog was, I know that was a key point we talked about in class, it makes it easy for us to quickly read and understand the reasoning for doing this and the benefits from it!! Something I did because I am a visual learner, is used colors to help show your most important assignments and also makes me feel more neat. Maybe you could try it as well! Good job though, hope you had a good visit back home!
